WIRED | Mariana Ndrio

Mariana Ndrio is a third-year medical student at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences (UMHS) in St. Kitts and Nevis. Ndrio was born in Greece to Albanian refugee parents and immigrated to the U.S when she was 17 years old. As an aspiring physician, she believes that art can be an indispensable pathway toward delivering compassionate and culturally-sensitive health care. She loves to use different media in order to delve deeper into the multifaceted and complex psyche of human beings, as well as to play with abstract and minimalistic ideas and get inspiration from the medical sciences. Her art has been published in The New Physician and Pulse Voices.
